The scene opens up inside a hospital in Phoenix. Redline is inside the ward, being checked up on. We can see the extent of Redlines injuries to his lower back. Reds back is completely tapped up for protection. There is a nurse standing by him, helping him.Nurse: Red, your back is badly damaged… I’d advise you not to wrestle this Friday. I hear these guys you’re taking on are going to try and rip you apart.
Redline: Wait one-second lady… In no way, shape or form am I not taking part in the first Warfare after my historic victory at Full Throttle. I don’t think you realize just how much time and effort I spent training to be at my best for that match. You think that a little back injury is going to stop me from having my victory celebration and then going onto winning my tag match and advancing in the tournament? Hell no.
Nurse: I don’t know if I can medically clear you…
Redline looks shocked as the words come out of the nurses’ mouth. He frowns and then jumps off from the bed and begins to pace around the room.
Redline: Uh what! You’re not going to medically clear me to wrestle? Huh?
Nurse: I don’t think you’re ready…
Redline: Listen to me loud and clearly. I am physically ready for Friday okay? I don’t care what you think… you may be a qualified nurse but nobody knows my true physical health apart from me. I understand you’re worried, I can understand that you think my back injury might get worse. Yes, it might backfire on me and yes I might injure my back even further but that still wont stop me from doing what I love the most, entertaining the fans and putting on a good show to prove to everyone that I am indeed, the greatest wrestler in the SW, and ultimately, the world. I will wrestle this Friday, and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.
Redline then storms out of the hospital, ignoring everyone as he goes past and jumps inside his limo.
Redline: Just cruise around the city, okay?
Driver: Okay sir, so what happened inside the hospital?
The limo then starts up and begins to cruise around the block.
Redline: I really can’t believe the ignorance of that nurse… she said that I’m not in good enough shape to wrestle this Friday.
The driver looks at Redline and hesitates.
Redline: Do you have something to say?
Driver: Well Red, I’d have to agree with the nurse. Look at that back of yours… it’s bashed up pretty badly. The only person that really knows if you can wrestle this Friday is yourself, you understand?
Redline: Yeah that’s what I told the nurse. I will wrestle this Friday, I’m not a coward, I will kick the living hell out of Shadow and Raz and then maybe, consider resting for a while.
Driver: What will Tyler Shane think of you resting? Will he allow it?
Redline: Screw Tyler Shane. I hate the guy and yes, he probably will stop me from resting this back and yes, he probably will make my life a living hell for as long as I’m champion.
Redline looks beside him and sees his precious Supremacy title.
Redline: …but that title makes it all worthwhile. I’ve seen many people wrestle with injuries far, far worse than the one I have, and they’ve carried on doing what they loved the most, entertaining the fans.
Driver: Yeah and look what happened to them, they ended up being hospitalized for weeks, even months. Red, you really have to watch yourself this Friday on Warfare.
Redline: I agree yeah, this match will be tough, they are great athletes, Shadow is Cruiser champ, he has speed and agility and yes, Raz is the number one contender for the American title, he’s an awesome athlete and a great all-rounder in the ring. They will want to pick me apart and yes I agree I’ll have to be on top form in order to keep them away from me, but you’re forgetting something. I have Seth Dryden as my tag partner. If things start to get messy, Seth will be there for me.
Driver: True, true but is he really in this tournament to help you? Or does he just want to win the tag titles?
Redline: From what I’ve seen of him so far, then yeah I have to admit, he’s a guy that doesn’t want friends. He’s pushed me away so far, but when he sees me on the floor, holding my hand out to be tagged out, I think he’ll finally realize that we have to work together in order to win this tournament, and we’ll have to get along, no matter how different we are. There’s a bit of good in everyone, even Seth.
Driver: Yes, I think there definitely is potential in Seth, the fans sure love him don’t they?
Redline: The fans are great to him. He’s won over the fans in the past 2 weeks, much like I have. Can you imagine the noise the crowd would make if Redline and Seth Dryden were crowned the Tag Team champions of the SW? The crowd would blow the roof off…
Driver: Not literally, right? I mean, the fans can really blow the roof off, can they?
Redline: Ha, you’ve become a smartass all of a sudden?
Driver: Nah, I’ve always been like this, you just never give me the opportunity to use it.
Redline: Hah man, stop here. I’m going to catch up with a little female friend I met in a café nearby…
Driver: Does Skye know about this female friend?
Redline: Like I said, she’s a female friend. The end. Now stop the limo please.
The limo stops and Redline exits. He enters the café and sits down at the nearest table. The scene then fades black just as things start to get interesting…
